Bugs

Last night there was a mosquito in my room. At the moment I didn’t really care. It kept flying in front of my computer screen so I decided to hunt and kill it. After a few unsuccessful attempts I finally squashed him. Once he was dead I was thinking… It’s the middle of winter here and if there are mosquitoes around now I wonder how many will be out come summertime. I’ll have to see. I’m guessing there will be lots partially because the pool in our backyard is full to the brim with rainwater and I’m sure they’re breeding in there. My next thought was that Australia probably has some deadly mosquito born vector, like westnile, that I don’t know about. I’m going to have to ask the locals. Why is all the flora and fauna on this continent out to kill me? We had a lecture last week by a pharmacist from the poison control centre. He was trying to emphasize how many poisonous plants and animals there are in Australia. It’s frightening to think about it.

Tonight, for the second time in a week, I closed down the Oodle Noodle Box. Now, they just let me sit there, peacefully, until I feel like leaving. Very nice blokes, all of 'em. And, really, anyone who's had it just can't get enough of the spicy kung pao beef, can they?

I love that Winston needs to talk about himself so much that he is willing to post a tidbit of his night on your blog. Classic.

This one time, my mom baked everyone at home a rubarb cake. It was funny, because i loved it. So since i was young i felt that it would be at least AS good to eat the plant itself, which was in my backyard. -- Sadly, that wasn't the case, it tasked like ass, and it basically made me really sick. To be honest i can't remember much except for being in the bathroom screaming for several hours. -- I guess the moral of this story is, don't eat plants, only eat plants that other people place in cakes that taste good.

Great. This is what I have to look forward to? Mosquito's buzzing around being all annoying and such? Perhaps you should invest in a mosquito net to hang around your bed? A tad girly, but at least you won't be all itchy! Hopefully there isn't a deadly mosquito disease, although I'm sure there is something equivalent to the West Nile down there. You should get an alarm clock with radio and listen to it now and then!
