When I first arrived in Australia, two days before school started, I had a list of things to do immediately. Other than finding a place to live, one of the tasks on the list was to buy a printer. With all the powerpoint slides I was anticipating at University obviously a solid printer is essential. However, I still haven’t bought a printer because, we pharmacy students are lucky enough to have access to free printing and photocopying - yay. However, pharmacy students from other schools aren’t so lucky. So, Danielle and I went shopping for a printer this afternoon so that she can print off hundreds upon hundreds of powerpoint slides. It was a bit of a chore since Perth doesn’t have huge electronics stores like Futureshop or bestbuy. One of the first places we went to didn’t have what we were looking for but they sent us down the road to a competitor. The place we were sent to was just like office depot back home - exciting! They had lots of stock and decent prices so now we have a printer.
It’s very annoying going shopping for electronics in Perth just because they are unbelievably overpriced here. For example… a Playstation 3 will cost you $400 at futureshop in Canada but in Perth the exact Playstation 3 will set you back $999. The same goes for any other electronic and its just depressing. Somehow we actually got a really good deal on the printer.

Let us say you wanted said PS 3. Would you be able to buy it off Ebay or are the connections different for cables and whatnot?
yeah the power cable would be different and the games are region specific so it would only play the games from north America.
"Good on yea mate"
YOU ARE SUCH A COCK! And by the way, Curtin kicks UWA's ass, even if I don't get free printing. At least I have a 1-8 student to supervisor ratio!
Take that!
:)
Thanks for phoning me, Spence. WE'll catch up soon!
Love,
Wince.
I really like the HP printer line up. They have always had it going on in that area.
LOL at Danielle's lack of printing resources at her school though! I sense a small amount of printer access envy!
