Wikipedia is one of my most favorite sites on the internets. Some of their pages are so up to date and extensive it is unbelievable. I find myself searching wikipedia almost everyday for both school and non-school related searches. I’m left wondering when wikipedia will get degree granting status or something. Google’s weak attempt at a wikipedia style site has been disappointing so far. Its called knol if you care to check it out. I'm sure knol will get better with time but at the moment I"m not a fan. Maybe if I had time to write some knols myself then it would be a better site :-S

You know at my uni they are constantly telling us that wiki isn't a good info source because anyone can write the stuff. I still use it though because it is just so easy to use it, plus most of the stuff is written so that you actually understand the topic. You should give knol a little help one of these days. Would that mean you had published something then?! Lol.
Knol will evolve into a very good site. There are many people who can create encyclopedias in their subjects and Knol provides a platform for them with privileges and incentives.
I started a project of creating a management revision encyclopedia. Presently I am creating the topics hoping for involvement of many readers to add to the content. But as I come back to revise them my self I am sure to add more material and current material to it. I already see many experts initiating their projects on knol.
Narayana-rao-kvss - this is my knol author name.
I use Wikipedia everyday too. It is a wealth of knowledge.
